    ABOUT THE PRINCIPAL ATTORNEY, ROBERT P. WEBBER

    Robert Webber's PhotoThe principal attorney at the Webber Law Firm is Robert P. ("Bob") Webber. Bob is an honors graduate of William Mitchell College of Law (St. Paul, MN), and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). Prior to starting his own law practice, he practiced law at Myers Thompson P.A., a boutique immigration firm, and at Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly, a major corporate law firm based in Minneapolis. While in law school, Bob served as a law clerk for Honeywell International, working on employment law and business ethics matters.

    Bob has extensive experience working with both large and small employers in all aspects of employment-based immigration, including H-1B visas, PERM labor certification applications, and L-1 visas for established companies and start-ups. He also has worked with individuals in a wide range of U.S. visa matters, from marriage-based cases to religious worker petitions to applications for U.S. naturalization (citizenship).

    MSP Publications, which owns Minnesota Law & Politics, Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine, and Twin Cities Business Monthly, has recognized Bob has both a "Rising Star" and "SuperLawyer". The legal publication, Minnesota Lawyer, named Bob one of the top 10 "Up & Coming Attorneys" of 2003.

    Bob is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and has served as the Secretary and Treasurer of the Minnesota / Dakotas Chapter of AILA. He has also served as Chair of the AILA Minnesota / Dakotas Chapter's Business Immigration & Labor Certification Committee, which coordinates liaison meetings with the staff of the Minnesota state job service and leads discussions with immigration attorneys on various new developments in the law, including PERM. In 1999, he led efforts to increase funding at the state job service to facilitate faster processing of labor certification applications. These efforts led to passage of a state law related to labor certification funding. Bob is also a member of the New England Chapter of AILA, to better represent clients in that part of the country.

    In addition to AILA, Bob is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA), the Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA), and the Twin Cities Human Resources Association (TCHRA), an affiliate of the Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). He has served as the Legislative Coordinator and Chair of the MSBA New Lawyers Section, and as a member of the MSBA Executive Committee, which runs the association. He has spoken at several Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars on immigration-related topics and has also authored articles on immigration matters, including an article on immigration filing procedures and best practices in the AILA Annual Conference handbook.

    Bob has handled pro bono matters for religious organizations, individuals, and as a volunteer attorney with Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of Minnesota Advocates, and co-chaired a conference on training volunteer attorneys to handle appeals of asylum cases to the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals.

    Bob lives in Chanhassen, with his wife, Carrie, and their daughter, Abigail, who was born in May 2005.

    ABOUT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY, PENNI A. FRANK

    Penni Frank's Photo Ms. Penni A. Frank joined Webber Law Firm in January 2006 as a full-time Associate Attorney. She is now working on a part-time basis, telecommuting from her home in Kalamazoo, MI, where her husband is a graduate student. Penni is a graduate of Hamline University School of Law (St. Paul, MN) and Bethel University (St. Paul, MN). Prior to joining the firm, she served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Richard A. Zimmerman of the 9th Judicial District in Brainerd, Minnesota. While in law school, Penni gained experience in immigration law at a small St. Paul immigration law firm and a large downtown Minneapolis law firm. Penni has been a volunteer for Centro Legal and Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights.

    Penni has a special focus on family-based immigration, including fiancé and marriage-based green card processing, adjustment of status applications, K-1 and K-3 visa processing at U.S. consulates abroad, and related matters. Penni has handled cases throughout the United States and the world for individuals seeking to obtain visas and green cards for family members. Penni also works with churches, interdenominational religious organizations, and missionaries on religious worker cases and naturalization (citizenship) applications utilizing special provisions of U.S. immigration law which provide for "fast track" U.S. citizenship to certain qualified individuals. She has handled a large number of INA 319(b) naturalization cases, for foreign-born spouses of U.S. citizen missionaries.

    Penni is a member of AILA National, as well as the Michigan and Greater Chicago chapters. She is married and lives in Kalamazoo, MI, with her husband, Nick, and their son, Callias, who was born in May 2005.

    ABOUT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY, MATTHEW R. ANDERSON

    Matthew Anderson's Photo Mr. Matthew R. Anderson is a full-time Associate Attorney at Webber Law Firm, LLC. He is an honors graduate of the University of St. Thomas School of Law (Minneapolis, MN) and Wheaton College (Wheaton, IL). Prior to law school, Matt gained experience with international adoptions at Children’s Home Society of St. Paul, MN, and at a private orphanage in Peru. Matt is fluent in Spanish and works with both employment-based and family-based immigration matters. He has worked with couples seeking immigration benefits based on marriage, churches and mission organizations, and has also handled complex legal research issues, related to claims of U.S. Citizenship and J-1 visa waivers.

    Matt is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association (MSBA), the Hennepin County Bar Association (HCBA), and the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).

    Matt and his wife, Edith, live in Richfield with their 4 children. Matt and his family are actively involved in their church, Bethlehem Baptist, in Minneapolis.
